Service, Not Self
Dear Members of American Legion Post 10,
On behalf of the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 10, I would like to extend a warm welcome and invite the family members of Post 10 to consider joining the American Legion Auxiliary.
Founded in 1919, the American Legion Auxiliary has been a cornerstone of service, patriotism, and community for more than a century. The Auxiliary’s mission is to support The American Legion and honor the sacrifice of those who serve by enhancing the lives of veterans, military, and their families.
Each year, Auxiliary members collectively volunteer more than 7.1 million hours of service. Our members:
- Assist veterans and service members in need.
- Provide scholarships and youth opportunities.
- Promote Americanism and civic responsibility.
- Support children and families through outreach and advocacy.
Membership in the Auxiliary is open to grandmothers, mothers, sisters, spouses, daughters, and direct female descendants of members of The American Legion, as well as of veterans who served honorably.

American Legion Auxiliary Unit 10 meets on the third Tuesday of the month (except not in July or December) at 7:00 pm at the Bunkers Clubhouse, 1001 Golf Club Rd., Wausau, WI.
